LGBT Support Group

Looking for a LGBT therapy group where you don’t have to worry about communication? The skilled and caring clinicians at the Center for Hearing and Communication understand the impact of hearing loss on your personal, social, professional, and family life. We also understand the communication difficulties that hard of hearing people face, particularly in group situations. We provide a group therapy experience where linguistic communication is equally important as emotional communication.

If you find yourself struggling or becoming isolated because of communication issues, you are not alone. In this therapeutic group for people who communicate using speech, we focus on getting and providing support, offering life strategies, and helping you to take care of yourself as you manage the challenges of life as a hard of hearing LGBT person. As you share with other members in the group you will not only learn about technologies that can audiologically enhance your life, but also, and more importantly, you will experience feelings of increased self-esteem and self-confidence in your journey to becoming a happier, more fulfilled individual.

The group is proud to be underwritten by The Durst Family Foundation whom we thank for their support.
