Lois Kam Heyman, M.A., CCC-SLP, visits Park Century School in LA March 9 and 10 to provide in-service training on auditory processing disorder (APD) and other listening and learning challenges. The workshop will highlight Heymann's ListenLoveLearn process which has been proven effective in developing the listening, speech and language skills of children with APD.
Park Century School is a nonprofit, co-educational day school designed to meet the specific educational, emotional and social needs of children, ages 7-14, who have learning disabilities. Heymann's training will focus on the needs of the school's teachers March 9th and then the unique challenges and opportunities of their speech-language pathologists on the 10th.
Heymann is Director of the Auditory Processing Center at the Center for Hearing and Communication, the only facility in the NYC area providing comprehensive services for children with learning, listening and auditory challenges.
