Loop Makes Feast Accessible to People with Hearing Loss

The Center for Hearing and Communication is pleased to announce that the 18th Annual Feast, presented tonight in cooperation with Wine Spectator at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers, will be fully accessible to people who are deaf and hard of hearing. The stage show, featuring special presentations, a live auction and entertainment, will offer real-time captioning (CART), assistive listening devices and sign-language interpreting. Additionally, we're thrilled to have the room looped so that all those with a t-coil will be able to receive the audio directly into their hearing aid's wireless receiver.

Thank you to Sound Asociates and AssistiveAudio, Inc. for their generous donations which made the looping possible. Learn more about this invaluable technology in The New York Time's story published yesterday.

See you tonight at The Feast!
