Golden Agers: Live better with hearing loss
Join CHC’s Golden Agers Group, a free monthly educational/recreational gathering for older adults with hearing loss.
Whether you wear hearing aids or not, enjoy meaningful social interaction, lively discussions and immersive activities in a fully accessible setting. Live better with hearing loss by:
Making friends with others actively living with hearing loss
Socializing in a hearing-friendly setting
Learning skills and techniques to help you communicate with confidence
Stimulating activities
Each session is facilitated by speech therapist Janet Pierro who offers stimulating and fun activities. Past activities have included creative writing, yoga, painting, jewelry making, lipreading training and stimulating conversation around current events. Coming up: musical and dance performances, captioned movies, special guests, museum visits and more.
A light lunch is served.
Where and when
Golden Agers meet at the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC) on the 3rd Tuesday of most months from 1-2:30 pm. CHC is located at 50 Broadway, 6th floor, in Lower Manhattan; sessions take place in a modern conference space equipped with a large-screen television.
