Assistant Director of Social Services
My name is Carolyna Otero. I am Deaf and have been working at the Center for Hearing and Communication since 2019 as the Assistant Director of Social Services and a Case Manager. I am also an American Sign Language instructor. I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Supervision and Management, along with certifications in Human Resources and Small Business Management. In 2015, I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. I am currently attending Gallaudet University to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with the goal of obtaining licensure as a professional counselor. I am passionate about working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities, building strong networks, and providing meaningful support services to those in need.
