Audiologist

Dr. Maggie S. McQuaid—fluent in English and Spanish—is a licensed audiologist with more than 20 years of experience serving the hearing health care community. She is well-versed in the audiological needs of all age groups— from infants to adults—with particular expertise in hearing evaluations and the selection/fitting/tuning of hearing aids and other amplification devices and accessories. Among the many highlights of her esteemed career are her work for the School Boards of Miami-Dade and Brevard Counties, her time in private practice and the hearing health care she provided to veterans in the VA Hospital.

Dr. Maggie received her BA from the University of Puerto Rico where she first became interested in a career helping those with hearing loss. Her academic aspirations brought her to Florida where she graduated with a Masters Degree in Audiology from Florida State University. After years of working in the field of audiology, Dr. Maggie earned her Doctorate Degree from the University of Florida.

In 2018, Dr. Maggie was named by the American Health Council as a Significant Contributor to the Health Care Industry in recognition of the outstanding care she has provided throughout her career. Her passion for audiology stems from her desire to enhance quality of life through better hearing, communication access, and improved cognition. She firmly believes that effective communication begins with better hearing.

Two of her career highlights (to date) are helping to establish the Audiology Specialty at Kidz Medical in Naples Fl. and developing and presenting a proposal to the Miami-Dade School Board about the importance of building acoustically treated classrooms for the haring-Impaired Students.

In her spare time, Dr. Maggie enjoys listening to music, going to the theater, exercising, engaging in good conversations, gathering with family and friends, and reading self-improvement books, among other interests.
