Everything that CHC has to offer begins with understanding. Hearing loss, deafness, and other auditory challenges, like Auditory Processing Disorder or tinnitus, affect each person’s life in deeply personal ways. After all, our ability to communicate with and understand those around us is the very basis of human experience.
The sum of all the work of CHC’s professionals, volunteer board members, and community supporters—what we do today and what we have accomplished in the past century—exemplifies understanding and compassionate service.

Executive Staff
Nancy Nadler, M.E.D., MA; Executive Director
Nancy Nadler is the Executive Director of the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC), a position she assumed in 2026 after more than four decades of service to the organization. Since joining CHC in 1985, she has held a variety of leadership roles spanning direct services, program development, public education, philanthropy, and executive leadership.
Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Ms. Nadler served as CHC's Director of Development, helping to secure the philanthropic support necessary to expand programs and services for children, adults, and families affected by hearing loss. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in creating and advancing innovative initiatives that increase access to hearing healthcare, communication services, family support, education, and community outreach. She has helped launch and expand many of CHC's signature programs serving children, adults, older adults, and families.
Earlier in her tenure, Ms. Nadler directed CHC's internationally recognized Noise Center and created International Noise Awareness Day, a global public education campaign that has reached millions of people worldwide. She also served in an advisory capacity to the Mayor of New York City on issues related to hearing health and environmental noise.
Before assuming leadership roles in development and public education, Ms. Nadler served as Director of CHC's Career Development Department and worked directly with individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing to support educational and employment opportunities. She has also served as an adjunct professor in New York University's graduate program in Deafness Rehabilitation and as a teacher at Clarke School for the Deaf.
Ms. Nadler holds a Master of Education degree in Education of the Deaf from Smith College and a Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has been featured as a guest expert on national and international media outlets, including NBC's Today, CNN, NPR, the BBC, and The New York Times.
Tracy Perez, Psy.D.; Regional Executive Director
Dr. Tracy Perez is the Regional Executive Director of the Center for Hearing and Communication Florida office. Dr. Perez is a Doctoral Clinician of Psychology and has been working in the field of Psychology for over 20 years and with the Center for Hearing and Communication-Florida since 2008. She completed schooling at Carlos Ablizu University where she received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies. Dr. Perez completed her residency at St. Mary’s Childrens Hospital with specialty areas of Communication Disorders, Developmental Disorders, and children and families. Dr. Perez has experience working with children and families, providing individual and family counseling, conducting neuropsychological assessments, diagnosis, and intervention planning. Dr. Perez has provided lectures about the Impacts of Hearing loss on the individual and family dynamics, Executive Functioning and Working memory, Grief and Loss, and other topics to local and international schools, parent organizations, Police, and community organizations.
Dr. Perez is also Sign skilled with American Sign Language and provides services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
