I’m thrilled to share the news that the Children’s Hearing institute (CHI) has appointed two clinicians from the Center for Hearing and Communication—speech-language pathologist Liz Ying and deaf education specialist Dana Selznick—to a new Medical and Educational Advisory Board dedicated to raising awareness and meeting the needs of children with hearing loss.

The Advisory Board includes seventeen professionals from New York’s leading medical and educational centers who will be introduced at CHI’s #HearInNewYork Gala May 10th in the Delegates Dining Room at the United Nations. In addition to CHC, organizations represented on the Advisory Board include New York Eye and Ear, Weill Cornell Medicine, NYU Langone Medical Center and Clarke School for Hearing and Speech.

We are so proud of Liz Ying and Dana Selznick for being selected for this important leadership position. CHC is honored to collaborate with CHI in their new campaign, #HearInNewYork, and to partner with other renowned organizations to increase our reach and help even more families.

The primary focus of #HearInNewYork is groundbreaking. For the first time, all of the exemplary programs at New York’s medical and educational institutions will collaborate to develop initiatives to best serve the needs of children with hearing loss and their families.

We look forward to great things ahead!
